Last I checked, Apple is still bringing in loads of dollars from their Macintosh line; and it does stand to reason that people with Macs will be at least somewhat more likely to ALSO purchase an iPhone for their cellular phone needs, and/or an iPod/iPod Touch for portable music, and/or an iPad if tablets are their thing too. And to some extent, the same goes vice versa… the iPhone and iPod Touch have introduced a lot of people to Apple computers that would have otherwise never left Dell, HP, or whatever other brand can be had from the big box stores. Each side of the business drives sales on the other… why in the world would they drop that winning formula?

Perhaps when the day comes that we do not need dedicated computers anymore… but for now, when people need to get real work done, they use real computers to do it… not cellphones and tablets.
